Court 16 Manhattan-FiDi – Tennis & Pickleball

Pickleball in New York is a turf war with paddles. NYC Parks banned the sport at Seravalli Playground in the West Village in late 2022, and Carl Schurz Park on the Upper East Side has feuded over its three courts long enough that the city launched a pilot program around it. The marquee venue is seasonal: CityPickle runs 14 courts at Wollman Rink each summer. Year-round, players head to Hudson River Park's free outdoor courts, Riverside Park's five at 96th, Marine Park's eight, or PKLYN in Gowanus.
