Top pickleball courts in Richmond

Hotchkiss Field Community Center

Richmond's pickleball footprint went vertical in a hurry. Performance Pickleball RVA took over a vacant Macy's at Regency Mall in December 2023 with twelve indoor courts, and Bangers and Dinks had already opened eight courts down in Chesterfield that summer. Then Henrico spent $4.4 million razing a softball field at Pouncey Tract Park for a championship complex that opened in November 2024. The strangest conversion is downtown: Padel Plant, inside the old Haxall Canal hydro plant on the Canal Walk, added pickleball under 35-foot ceilings in February 2025. Free outdoor play still lives at Bryan Park and Forest Hill Park.
