Pickleball is new to Bucharest. The sport reached Romania around 2018, first in Constanța, and arrived in the capital mostly through padel clubs adding paddle lines. PadelYCerveza in Sector 2 runs two dedicated pickleball courts. Most other play happens on shared or converted surfaces inside padel and racquet venues. Romania sent its first national team to the 2025 Pickleball World Cup in Florida.
