Pickleball in San Antonio runs through Fairchild Park, where 18 free public courts on the East Side stay open from 5am to 11pm and routinely draw close to a hundred players waiting their turn. The city began a $250,000 renovation there in late 2024 and is funding more courts through a 2022-2027 parks bond. Beyond Fairchild, players head to Chicken N Pickle near UTSA, the new Texas Pickle Hall in Live Oak, and an incoming Picklr off San Pedro Avenue. Every September, SAPA fills Fairchild for the CommuniCare Classic.
