Top pickleball courts in Kansas City

Kansas City is where Chicken N Pickle started. Founder Dave Johnson came back from a 2015 Phoenix trip, demolished a warehouse on Burlington Street, and opened the original North Kansas City location in late 2016. The chain has since pulled in Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce as investors, and the city hosted the inaugural PickleCon at the convention center in August 2024 with more than 100 courts under one roof. Indoor play matters here. Winters are real, and rooms full of courts at SW19 in Leawood, The J, and both Chicken N Pickle locations stay busy December through March.
