Top pickleball courts in Phoenix

Phoenix didn't ease into pickleball. The sport grew up here. USA Pickleball, the sport's national governing body, runs out of Surprise on the metro's west edge, and the 2024 National Championships filled all 41 courts at Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa. Public play stretches from Pecos Park's 16 lighted courts in Ahwatukee to dozens of retirement-community complexes around Sun City. One catch: from May through September, outdoor games start at 5:30 AM. By 10, the courts are empty.
