Top pickleball courts in San Francisco

San Francisco does pickleball the hard way. The city pulled six of twelve courts at Presidio Wall in 2024 after a Presidio Heights resident blamed pickleball noise for a stalled $36 million home sale, and 150 condo owners at Golden Gateway Commons sued the Bay Club over its Embarcadero courts that December. Free dedicated play sits at Larsen Playground in the Sunset (eight courts, opened December 2023) and Louis Sutter in McLaren Park. Goldman Tennis Center is the only lighted facility, with reservations and a $5 hourly fee.
